For decades, Rotary has been part of an extraordinary worldwide promise: a world without polio.
On Friday, October 23 at 9:00 AM, that global story will have a very local moment as we gather at Thunder Bay City Hall for an End Polio Proclamation and Flag Raising, just ahead of World Polio Day.
It may be one flag going up in one Canadian city, but it represents something much bigger. Awareness. Commitment. Progress. And the power of Rotarians around the world working toward a goal that once seemed impossible. This event has been a vision of Lakehead Rotary President Don MacDonald’s from the beginning, and we would love to see our fellow Rotarians there to help bring that vision to life.
