Lakehead Rotary Club Welcomes Brendan Carlin from Shelter House Thunder Bay
This week, the Lakehead Rotary Club was honoured to welcome Brendan Carlin from Shelter House Thunder Bay, an organization that continues to shine a light on some of the most pressing issues in our community.
Shelter House provides far more than food and a warm place to sleep. It offers care, compassion, and hope to those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity, while connecting people with outreach, health care, and supportive programs that help them rebuild their lives. Brendan shared stories that reminded us how Shelter House not only meets immediate needs but also addresses the deeper challenges facing Thunder Bay. Through their work, they bring awareness to poverty, mental health, and addiction, turning understanding into action and compassion into change.
We are deeply grateful to Brendan and everyone at Shelter House for their dedication and heart. Their work reminds us that when a community comes together, we can create a brighter, more caring Thunder Bay for all.
