Volker Kromm, a member of Lakehead Rotary, is stepping back from his role as president of the Regional Food Distribution Association (RFDA) in order to refocus his efforts on supporting northern communities.
While serving as RFDA president, Kromm oversaw distribution efforts to municipalities, food banks, First Nations, and feeding programs extending as far north as James Bay and Manitoba.

By stepping back from the presidency, Kromm plans to concentrate on advocacy, partnership-building, and strategic work tailored to northern and underserved regions—ensuring communities get reliable access to food and essential resources.  His move is seen as a strategic repositioning: shifting from day-to-day management toward longer-term initiatives, outreach, and systemic solutions aimed specifically at closing service gaps in more isolated areas. Congratulations to Volker on this next chapter of service!
