County on the Bay Music Festival was held back in July at the Fort William Historical Park with thousands of happy fans on hand for each of the 3 days of the Festival. The Festival included headliners like Brett Kissel, Lee Brice, Terri Clark and Johnny Reid.
The 3 local Rotary Clubs were invited to run the bars on site and Rotarians, Rotaractors, friends and family members did their part in style.  As the photo with this story shows, the proceeds from the bars – $63,571.40 – were handed over to the Rotary Clubs by the Festival’s Producers.  Representing the 3 local Rotary Clubs for the cheque presentation were Robert Hookham [Fort William Rotary], Bob Tomlinson [Port Arthur Rotary], and Allan Kozlo [Lakehead Rotary].  After paying for the bar supplies and other expenses, each of the Rotary Clubs received their equal share of $19,158.29.  The Clubs will use these funds during the year to award donations to local charities and organizations doing good work in our community.
The Festival’s Producers and the various authorities keeping an eye on the event were very impressed with the work of the Rotary Clubs and their many volunteers.  The Rotary Clubs have been invited to return in the summer of 2023 to run the bars when this amazing Festival takes the stage and grounds of Fort William Historical Park.  The Clubs have agreed and all are on board for next year.
