Elf Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 7:30 PM EST Magnus Theatre × Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag and is transported to the North Pole, where he is raised as an elf. When his enormous size causes him to face the fact that he is indeed human, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh realities that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa Claus, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help the world remember the true meaning of Christmas. Based on the 2003 hit movie, this modern-day holiday classic is sure to make everyone embrace their own inner elf. After all, the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

29 Jan. 2025 Rotary Shelter House meal - Wednesday 29JAN25 Jan. 29, 2025 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Our next Shelter House meal is scheduled for Wednesday 29JAN25. We are doubling the impact of the meal by sourcing the protein from RFDA (supporting their fundraising efforts) and serving a meal at Rotary Shelter House. The meal will be made up of RFDA meatballs, rice and vegetables. As we are engaging RFDA to help with the rice preparation and the meatballs/sauce are already made there is less time required for preparation and the reason for the later start and only one shift required. That being said we will cook the vegetables, cut and plate desserts and subject to ingredients and need we will prepare sandwiches during our time there. We will also serve from 7-8pm. 06 Feb. 2025 Tyler Pyle, Rotarian Brazil Vacation Feb. 06, 2025 7:30 a.m. As a Rotary Exchange Student, Tyler spent his year in Brazil. Just last year, he returned as a tourist. He will be sharing with us the best and beautiful parts of that trip.

20 Mar. 2025 Erin Moir, Co-Exec Dir, Eco Superior Litter Free Lake Superior Litta-Trap Project Mar. 20, 2025 7:30 a.m. The joint club environment committee (TBay REAcT) is looking for ways to support existing environmental organizations with their endeavours to improve our planet. One of the possibilities is the Litta-Trap Project initiated by Eco-Superior. We have invited Erin Moir, Co-Executive Director, EcoSuperior Environmental Projects to provide us with the details of this project. Come out to see what it is all about.
20 Mar. 2025 Jessie McFadden, Watershed Biologist, LRCA Seeds for Conservation Mar. 20, 2025 7:30 a.m. Ashley and Jessie are excited to share more about the new Seeds for Conservation initiative at Lakehead Region Conservation Authority. Ashley is the LRCA’s Watershed Stewardship Technician, focusing on local stewardship initiatives, growing native plants, engaging with the community, tending LRCA’s habitat restoration projects and managing invasive species. She has a background in social work and is a recent graduate of the Forestry Technician: Ecosystem Management program at Confederation College. Jessie is the Watershed Biologist at LRCA, overseeing stewardship programming and working closely with Ashley. She has a MSc degree in biology and is passionate about ecological restoration.
